Glory Academy Celebrates the 2024 Graduating Class

Glory Academy held the 2024 Academic graduation on 17/08/2024, a celebration and testament to the hard work, dedication, and spirit of our students, staff and community. The event was a resounding success, filled with moments of pride and joy, marking the culmination of years of effort by our graduates.

The ceremony kicked off with warm and inspiring welcoming remarks from our esteemed Principal  . In his address, he expressed profound gratitude to the teachers, parents, and the entire school community for their unwavering support throughout the students’ academic journey. He highlighted the achievements of the graduating class, such as Gisagara Benjamin and Ntwari Kevin, who won the National Debate Competition and represented Glory Academy at the regional debate . He encouraged the graduates to carry forward the values of integrity, perseverance, and excellence instilled in them at Glory Academy.

Following the Principal’s remarks, NIYOMUGABA Augusta Cartiaux, the Head Girl, took the stage and delivered a heartfelt speech that resonated deeply with all in attendance. She spoke about their shared experiences, the challenges they overcame, and the lessons learned during their time at Glory Academy, expressing deep appreciation for their teachers and mentors and highlighting the significant role they played in shaping their futures. Her words were both emotional and motivating, a true reflection of the bond they share with the school. Augusta spoke in the presence of her fellow class representatives: ITERITEKA Danny Ken, the Head Prefect; NDUWAYO CHARMY Roxanne, the Coordinator of Entertainment; and INEZA Christella Cassy, the Advisor of the Student Representatives Committee, who proudly stood by her side.

SERUBIBI Gerard, Vice President of the Parents Committee addressed the gathering, sharing his perspective on the journey that led to this momentous occasion. The speech was filled with pride and gratitude, recognizing the sacrifices made by both students and parents. The representative thanked the school for its dedication to providing quality education and nurturing the talents of their children. His words were a powerful reminder of the collaborative effort between parents and the school in ensuring the success of the students.

The highlight of the ceremony was the speech by our Guest of Honor, the Founder and President of ULK/Glory Academy Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda. His words were both inspiring and forward-looking, urging the graduates to be agents of change and innovation in their future endeavors. He emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and reminded the students that their journey does not end here but is just beginning.

The Founder presented  special certificates of recognition to the parent representatives, acknowledging the invaluable role parents play in the education of their children. This gesture symbolized the strong partnership between the school and families.

The certificates of appreciation were also awarded to the graduates, celebrating their achievements and marking the successful completion of their studies at Glory Academy. The air was filled with applause and cheers as each graduate proudly received their certificate, a tangible symbol of their hard work and dedication.

We were thrilled to celebrate the graduation of the talented Rwandan artist SHEMI, widely known as Peace of Mind. His creative journey has been an inspiration to many, and today, as he joins our graduates, we recognize not only his artistic achievements but also his dedication to education. This milestone marks another chapter in his remarkable career, and we look forward to seeing how he continues to inspire and uplift others through his art and accomplishments.

The joy on the faces of the parents was unmistakable, radiating pride and happiness as they watched their children cross the stage. Their smiles and tears of joy were a powerful reminder of the love and support that have fueled our graduates’ journey. The happiness of the parents, celebrating this significant achievement with their children, added a beautiful and heartwarming dimension to our graduation ceremony.
